Because I use Mastodon to gripe now apparently

I don't know what bug seems to have struck library/archives Twitter, but a disproportionate amount of my feed is now "climate grief." People sobbing about how the world will be destroyed in 30 years and how all work anyone's doing is pointless, etc. etc. Climate change is scary and we have to prepare for it but this is just nihilism. It's a weird thing to be... trendy?
