You're telling me that we make LIGHTNING go through STONES so we can put DAEMONS in them so they'll perform tasks for us? Computers are actually magic

We know every single step we need to take to completely divest ourselves of fossil fuels. And We've known for years. What's more, We've had a wake up call about our dependency on single use fossil fuels. In 2022. And 2008. And 1991. And 1979. And 1973...

So in 2026, we've already learnt our lesson right? We don't need to worry about supplies of imported single use fossil fuels right?

Hello? *Tap* *tap* is this thing on?

"how am I supposed to explain gay to a child??"

My brother in Christ have you ever actually been around a child?? They will straight up ambush you with the most unhinged, bonkers, nihilist questions with a completely straight face. Questions that will cause grown adults to have an existential crisis if you think about them too long. Just yesterday in class a student stepped playing a scale to ask me how does she even know if I exist or not and I had to sit quietly in a corner with that one for like an hour. PLEASE let me explain the gay. Explain the gay is fucking easy.

We should invest in green energy and faster Internet. Just like doctors say - we need less oil and more fiber

Hi #fediverse. We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a cow it came up that she has never sat on a horse. Like, not even once during childhood.

Another colleague admitted they also have never sat on a horse.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a horse.

Have you sat on a horse?

So I'm 1600$ away from being able to pay my rent. I'm trying to take care of a household of 6 people, only two of who can work right now, and with my longterm illness (I was bedridden for 16 months) I'm just not able to make rent this month, as a bunch of unexpected costs hit right in a row.

If you've can donate any amount at all, it'd really help. Thanks so much.

Alright. So. A few things.

  1. The right time to give me a choice in whether or not unasked 'AI' 'features' were shoved down my throat was before you did the shoving
  2. Making everyone refer to obscure guides that involve bypassing scare warnings in order to turn those features off is phenomenally bad user experience
  3. The unasked for, unwanted 'AI' features you've been shoving down our throats behave — from a user perspective — similar to cryptojacking in that their computer suddenly performs very poorly without transparency to the user about why or a choice about turning it off (again, the wrong time to ask is after you've already done the bad thing)
  4. I am not signing up for yet another god damn thing just so I can tell you so
