@drktbl @SteelWool Eh. So. If it gets us 2 seasons, that's the Alabasta arc, which gets us enough Bon Clay for the animators who know what's coming to have some fun with it, even if we never get to the SUPER gay arcs.
Then if we get 3 seasons, that gets us Skypea / Water 7. Which, honestly, if we got even there? That's probably enough. That's kinda the tidy, buttoned up origin story of the Straw Hats. If you go ANY further past that, you just get a bunch of great arcs with no obvious stopping point.
@glassbottommeg I’m now realizing my hope for the live action One Piece is for them to last long enough to introduce a sexy Trafalgar Law. That would probably be the longest running show in Netflix history though (with insane per-episode budgets).
@SteelWool @glassbottommeg …and is significantly better than I was expecting. This moment still worked for me in live action. It’s a shame it’ll get cancelled after maybe one more season.
