@12 that's fair. Admittedly, I joined cause most of the people I know are there and have told me the experience is better than on Twitter (which I stopped using months ago)
Since this is still a closed beta, maybe it'll get better with time? I did notice alt text is a thing there.
@SteelWool alt text is, yes, but the web client sucks ass, and the devs, being the shitty techbro types they are, decided "federation standards? connecting to the rest of the entire federated world and NOT building a walled garden? naaaah, lets do it a new and totally incompatible way!"
@SteelWool oh, just... mm. We're really really burnt out on corpo social media, epsecially services that (1) deliberately go for a different federation protocol when a bloody standard already exists and (2) launch with no accessibility features at all.
