the best way to live is to just pretend there is no such thing as minecraft bedrock edition

@nano if anything I'm jealous of the performance bedrock has over java

@SteelWool bedrock didnt even run at a consistent 60fps on my old ipad pro. that game runs like shit compared to what you can do with java and performance mods, and its not even close. a few years ago, you could make the argument that bedrock ran better than java, but you just can't anymore. bedrock runs like shit and there's nothing you can do about it
@nano @SteelWool yeah, back when the better together update first launched on switch, it ran pretty alright

but nowadays the only thing you can hear about is how minecraft is literally unplayable on switch, and how microsoft doesn't care to fix how god damn atrociously laggy it is
@EeveeEuphoria @SteelWool i used to have a world on the switch which i consistently played. i stopped playing it a while ago and came back to it a few months ago. i noticed how insanely slow it was to load, and even once i loaded in the chunks were STILL LOADING. i tried entering my nether portal, which caused my switch's fans to kick up into fucking hyperspeed. the loading screen took like 5 minutes, and when i finally loaded in i found myself killed by a ghast before i was able to even leave the portal since the game was simulating while it was loading. genuinely unplayable
@nano @SteelWool yeah, it's just genuinely so much better to play on a steam deck tbqh

hell i'm willing to bet running linux on a switch (or android, since you can run java edition on android!) would make the game play so much better
@EeveeEuphoria @SteelWool questcraft on the quest 2 literally runs java through pojav and uses performance mods like sodium and it runs better than bedrock on the switch
