Do any of you have any first hand experience with any RPGMaker style tools that are available on linux?

My youngest nephew wants to make a video game "like pokemon" and I'd like to be able to find something that isn't Windows/proprietary for him to work in.

There are linux builds of OHRRPGCE, and I found a pokemon-alike written for it, with a CC-BY license.

So I'm going to use that as a foundation for the kid, and see if he comes up with anything good.

And hey, who knows, maybe I'll build a game myself.

@hummingrain It's an ancient, cantankerous mess that I found when I was a kid, but it'll suffice for my needs.

@ajroach42 @hummingrain Wow, that thing has been around for over 20 years! And it still works on modern system! And is still actively being worked on!
