@TonicBH It's not exactly complete recycling but Mega Man X5's Duff McWhalen (I don't remember his Japanese name) reuses the melody/composition of X2's Bubble Crab stage theme. There's even a proto version that's a unique song. I don't know for sure but there might be a lore reason for it?

I'm guessing deliberate throwbacks don't count?

I'm thinking more like how Richard Jacques used Green Grove Zone from Sonic 3D Blast for the Saturn and recycled it into a eurodance track for Metropolis Street Racer.

That kind of game music recycling.
