I spent this evening falling down the rabbit-hole of S.A.M., the program "Software Automatic Mouth" for the Apple, Atari, and Commodore 8-bit computers made in 1982.
There are probably better ways to run it than a Vice emulator or local HTML+JS page, but the only native options I found are all Linux-only sources and fail to build on FreeBSD, complaining of duplicate symbols in the LD phase.
