tech question, consumer advice req

hey tech fedi, y’all got any advice on phones

my parents are lookin to upgrade an sprint is offering sone kinda promotion, but I also wouldn’t mind not buying a flimsy overpriced bauble

I’m not so entitled to turn my nose up at a free upgrade, but if I can get a cheaper and more durable product elsewhere, not havin to use IOS is a benefit imo

like far as I’m aware only thing apple does that android can’t is work in the PROC

@Breakfast Depending on how much trouble you're willing to deal with, you can get some pretty good android phones (I know Nokia makes some decent phones, as do Oneplus) or you could find a older phone with decent ROM support. I've heard good things about the Nexus 6 and 6P, and you might have luck with the smaller siblings the 5 and 5X (though, those can be spotty). Honestly, if you just want an android phone, though, Nokia or Oneplus, I'd say.
