And, again, if you *can't* vote for whatever reason, that's fine. I will even accept arguments of indigenous sovereignty for that. But to be able and refuse is ridiculous. It's simple and it *does* help. Whether it be showing up during the primaries to vote for Sanders or during the general election to vote against Trump, voting can help. It is not an end-all-be-all solution. Don't waste time helping candidates. But at least take the time to fucking vote.

A lot of the solutions that can be implemented electorally won't help tear the system down. But stuff like universal healthcare or guaranteed housing? It removes worries that keep you from participating in other political actions. No need to fear, say, retribution for unionizing if your basic needs are covered outside of your job. It removes a large barrier for trying stuff that currently you can't do for fear of being fired and losing basic needs.

And to be clear, voting is the *only* effort you should expend. Don't bother volunteering for campaigns. Spend your time doing other things outside the extant systems that will help tear them down. That's the end goal. Voting won't help achieve that. But what it will help achieve is not having all the people who you're trying to help die. It may even give them the ability to spend more time (or any time at all) helping as well.
