if all the problems you currently see with public education were solved, do you think there should be mandatory public education?

@haskal I mean, I do feel you should at least know "the three R's" (Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic), but I'm really not sure about mandatory for anything past that. Like, maybe? But I'm really not sure at this point.
Ofc, the other issue is that if it's not mandatory, how many kids are gonna wanna bother? I wanted to be a physicist back in middle school, but even I still didn't want to go to school. To what degree can that be fixed? Beyond "a non-zero degree", I don't know.

@haskal I mean, there are definitely things you can do to fix that issue (e.g. make school start later), but can you ever get a considerable majority to want to? I don't know.
