there's really only one word I've defined in the entire dvakiiri language and that's the word for shark: zadrii

@azushark what _have_ you defined of the language though? now I'm interested

do you have phonotactics worked out? what's the phonetic inventory?

@azushark Hmm, written with a sort of syllabary I see. the vowel modifier is a lengthener? What are the phonetic values of the different vowels? Am I asking too many questions?

@Felthry yeah, vowel modifier makes a = aa, etc

a = ŏ, e = ĕ, i = ē, o = ō, u = oo

and naw, questions are good
helps me figure this out

@azushark Hmm. I'm _guessing_ you mean the values a = either /ɔ/ or /a/, e = /ε/, i = /i/, o = /o/, and u = /u/ or /uː/?

@azushark that's a = (/ɔ/ as in cot) or (/a/ as in blah), e = (/ε/ as in bet), i = (/i/ as in feet), o = (/o/ as in foe), and u = (/u/ as in booth)

@Felthry @azushark I hope you two will pardon me intruding, but from an earlier conversation:
IIRC the a (and probably other vowels?) are pronounced like in romanised Japanese, is that right? I should say that IPA notation and stuff is not something I understand either.

@BatElite @azushark (IPA notation is something worth learning in our opinions! at least the more common vowels and consonants)
