MH-, looking for advice
Does anyone else get depressive thoughts that are just, like, not grounded in reality? Like I'll often fall into a pit of feeling invisible, unwanted, unloved, and forgotten. But I know none of that's true. I have plenty of people who care about me, partners, family, friends. They all love me and that's clear if I stop to think about it. So why do I feel like that, and why does it feel so real in the moment? I don't understand.

@hazelnoot this sorta of unreality is common with ptsd. If you've been through abunch of antidepressants and they just arent working its probably that. If the antidepressants make your mood swing all around and you have symptoms of mania it could be bi polar which is also know to make you feel that way or its both. ive had those kinda thoughts my whole life, best advice find something that pulls you out of it and do that. Touch or physical activity can often help

@budsofstone@computerfairi.es I see, thank you. I'm not sure I've tried enough antidepressants to draw and conclusions yet. Question: what is mania? I've heard it mentioned in the context of MH but I'm not familiar with the concept

@hazelnoot that and finding the right medication. If you do end up thinking you might have either of those things remember its nothing to be ashamed of and you deserve treatment. And you arent alone in any of this.
