I don't really celebrate Xmas but my love does and their partners family is white. I'm helping cook for Xmas meal I'm doing potatoes au gratin. I gotta peel all the potatoes and chop up the onion real small so some people don't notice cause they like onion taste but think they don't like onions. And no real spices, I'm pushing it with goat cheese, chives and marjoram. ancestors forgive me!
I love CDs as much as the next guy, but every single person who’s like “buy physical media, digital is temporary!” can be very easily worked around by simply hosting a local server
“what if it’s not on streaming?” it’s on my local server
“what happens when spotify stops existing” it’s on my local server
“what if your hard drive dies” it’s got parity. i can just restore it (and I have off-site backups!)
physical media is great but having digital isn’t inherently worse, and a lot of the perceived benefits of physical media are really only relevant if you don’t have a robust digital solution in place
i love CDs but you’re gonna have to do some real work to convince me they’re more convenient than my unraid box
Notice how casually the American media sugarcoats pure evil, such as the government profiting from slave labor.
Furious subtooting, transandrophobia
"Why don't I ever see TMEs talking about transmisogyny?"
Oh, I dunno, maybe because reducing trans men and transmasculine folks to a dehumanising three letter initialism like fucking TERFs do means that not many of them actually want to speak to you?
Because the trans guys I know and follow are painfully aware of transmisogyny, and talk about it way more than I ever do. I see transmascs tying themselves in knots trying not to offend brittle transfems as they speak about their own experiences and battles.
Crying about "the invisibility of transmisogyny" the minute the trans community dares to talk about transmasc or enby issues is really telling about how you expect the narrative to always and only centre you.
I want to stop hearing bickering about who has it fucking worst. I want to hear trans stories whatever gender you were assigned at birth, however you identify now, whatever other privileges or oppressions you have. I want to see things from so many different trans viewpoints.
Listening to someone else's story is not fucking oppression.
Rant ends.
Incestous CSA, take about personal freedoms some people might not like.
But I think its a bit unreasonable to demand that everyone, cw or keep their relationships secret. Treat this like any other sexual minority. And your asks about it like any other trigger. Ask your friends not to bring it up around you sure. I'm not out here trying to erase blues clues from existance. If you wouldn't ask another sexual minority to cw all their sfw posts about it. Think about why you feel its fine in this case
Incestous CSA, take about personal freedoms some people might not like.
Look, so the thing about CSA is that the bad part is the sexual assault of a child. Not the fact that predator and victim were related. I'll hear some argument that it is made worst because your parent is the person who is supposed to protect you and care for you. BUT CSA has nothing to do with adults in consenting relationships consanguineous or not. If you are triggered by it, I get it.
