I shied away from discussing the colonial dynamics going on with Láadan and Toki Pona, mostly 'cuz I'm not qualified to do anything more than to point out they might be there. Though maybe I should just do exacly that.
Would love to read a more in-depth critique on the colonial dynamics in these languages! As well as a post on conlangs by Black and other dark-skinned folks!
@noyovo@rage.love In my brief research for fn4—which used to just say "They're still overwhelmingly white"—I did find Balaibalan, Damin, and Eskayan, and they all seem super interesting, and honestly, much more *actually used* than any white conlang.
