ayo so I am going to another college and I am picking a new major right now turns out THAT COLLEGE HAS WRITING/NARRATIVE DESIGN
I WANT THIS SO BAD
but at the same time I'm unsure if I'll be able to find a job as a writer/director for films or games and bc of that I'm afraid
there's also another major which is graphic design, I like it but not nearly as much. but it is easier to find a job. (but i don't wanna postpone my dream of becoming a writer)
I'm unsure. what should I do and why?
@tillianisafox I agree overall with previous commenters that this is a pretty big descision to leave to a poll online
speaking from my own experience, I went to (visual) art school for illustration and in my 3rd-4th year realized I should've picked graphic design or fine art instead (I graduated illustration but that's because I'm stubborn)
not sure I have much else advice to give because I've burnt myself out over the social media/competitive aspect of the creative industry
