honestly one of the notions i disagree with when i was watching queen's gambit is that if you blunder your queen you have to resign because it's sportsmanship.
like, unless the situation is really hopeless, i don't resign because there were a lot of times i saved the game even though i fucked up or missed something. sometimes your opponent does a bad move during the endgame and ends up drawing you instead of checkmating.
