I know the Yuri on Ice movie had been in the air for a LONG time and the likelyhood of it getting finished soon was also unlikely
but I'm still fucking depressed about the movie being outright cancelled

but if I had to guess this was a self fulfilling homophobic prophecy
YOI is fairly pure compared to the absolute garbage het anime stories are like
YOI is a great example of how anime refuses to get better AND stay better
if anything cool and interesting does make it through 10 million sexist/racist/homophobic filters that exist in human form (management)
it gets destroyed and/or neglected into oblivion
