Also WOW the cello (I don't know if Weezer actually used a cello???) sounds so muddy and like.....not a note????

Also no offense to any artist out there but just, it's so hard to hear a Michael Jackson cover and think "Yeah, this is a great rendition"
A lot of these songs have the same problem as their cover of Africa in that their production and mixing is just....bad???????

I love a lot of covers but Weezer is incredibly BAD at making covers
@evie eh I'd argue their covers are alright, its that their production is really... not the best?
@LANthus apparently their drummer did the mixing for their covers (including this album and just the Africa single itself before the album came out)
Everything Will Be Alright In the End and the White Album all sounded fine production-wise

The Cover Up by The Protomen is such a better album of covers from the same period as the Teal Album
