why does it take "two to three days" to remove someone's email from a list
the only options are "incompetence" or "y'all have so many email addresses it takes two or three days to send out a mailer?"

@BestGirlGrace @evie I remember that thread! Yeah it turns out it's not only an entirely manual process, but also it's done on super old hardware and by people in distant locations.
@bunnyjane @evie Just unsubscribed from one that said it would take ten days, so I believe it.
@evie Ooh, I love it when things like this are more complicated than they look. Is there a good reason, or is it just "this is the statutory limit, might as well give us some leeway" or "it's a manual process for some reason" or "our computers are just real slow, folks"
