Apple hot take 

I’d rather have lightning on the iphone that USB-C because USB-C is a fucking nightmare hellscape of “standards”
Only reason its on ipad pro is to plug stuff into it, which not a lot of people do for iphone comparatively

@evie well my phone has USB-C and it's cool to be able to plug stuff into it, like idk keyboards and flash drives

@noiob over my years of owning usb-c phones starting with the nexus 6p I don’t think I’ve ever plugged something in that WASN’T the charger?

@evie I mean the charger has its advantages too, I don't have to bring an extra one for my Switch or my headphones

@noiob theoretically if the US is no longer quarantined from the rest of the world then yeah, that will be a thing I have to consider since I have an iPad Pro, switch, and iPhone sadly
More important to me though I think is that the brick is usb-c
