I guess The Simpsons never expected to actually get Jane Goodall on the show at all, because they used the exact same character design for Jane Goodall in season 31 as they did for the parody, Joan Bushwell, from season 12
@evie hahaha fuck, this is like when they reused Wolfcastle as Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie. Except there they didn't get the actual actor.

@fillertrack I wonder if like, they wanted Goodall for the original but she couldn’t/didn’t want to be a “bad” character OR if like I said they never thought they’d have her on eventually so they made the parody to look exactly like her to the point that they just reused the model?
