some of my players take a very grounded and rational approach to the world and their characters and i sometimes get a kick out of confronting that with obviously whimsical fantasy bullshit. it's like

"...can i go up to the ship, and -- wait, what is the spelljammer made of?"
the hull seems to be made of mostly wood, with some metal brackets and supports.
"wood???"
mhm.
"so this spacefaring vessel is made of... wood"
yeah.
"but, aren't there like, micrometeorites? surely that would be a problem for--"
you haven't noticed any problems with micrometeorites.

@chemelia this is some especially well crafted wood
