@Genderqueerwolf I've been collecting DVDs, it's been amazing finding the fancy cases with bonus features that I wanted so badly when I was younger and broke for less than two bucks
@Genderqueerwolf that's been a consistent issue as I'm deaf. Too many times I've found a dvd I'm excited to grab and then finding out that there are no captions or only French/Spanish subtitles when I get home and I unfortunately am not fluent in either hahahaha
@Genderqueerwolf oh nooo, reminds me of when I found a copy of The Princess Bride that ended up having like five different language subtitles and none of them were languages I can read 💀
@honeybrew_coffee
Noooo.
I understand an English language film missing translations (or any language not having others)... but not having subtitles of the same language that is spoken in the film? Ridiculous.
@honeybrew_coffee
I have audio processing issues, but my partner is profoundly hard of hearing.
I actually found a Canadian bluray of Shakespeare in Love the other day that only has French subtitles, no English. In a bluray!
