Folks of Fedi, when it comes to power exchange, what do you feel you get out of it? What do you enjoy? What do you seek from it? What makes it real/good/right/special for you?
You may be as comprehensive or concise as you would like. My intent is to get your perspective, understand how you personally process the concepts involved, which ones you relate to, etc.

@h3mmy I think for me it's not at all unlike when I run a ttrpg, read a book aloud to someone, or throw a dinner party— even just making dinner for one person. I enjoy feeling powerful, it's definitely a confidence boost when I not only get to experience the power but also use it to help the person who gave me that power to explore the experiences they want to explore.
What I'm hearing is that you like being an active catalyst for folks to experience wonder and joy. It makes you feel more confident in your abilities and more capable of being able to craft experiences for others. Is that right?
Like driving someone through a magical experience. The driver (scene top) is doing the steering and the passenger (scene bottom) is watching the pretty scenery (or equivalent). However, the dom(me) can also be the passenger commanding the driver to take specific routes, etc.
Do you find yourself reliably in the domme role as well as the top role? Or does it vary?
@h3mmy
Yes, exactly, I enjoy being able to actively guide people to those kinds of experiences. I only really know the driver role to be completely honest, given that I'm a stone top/domme and my experience has been more or less exclusively passive bottoms/submissives. It would be interesting to do scenes where I'm 'commanding the driver' as it were. It would take someone truly special for me to hand the reigns of active control in a scene for me not to be dominant.
@h3mmy
I also consider them to be different, and I have dommed from the bottom and subbed from the top years ago and it was fun, maybe some day I'll try again if I feel safe enough.
I love bootblack and boot worship and have been dipping my toes back into it now that I'm more involved in leather (pun entirely intended) and I have enjoyed community bootblacks taking care of my boots! Absolutely lost it when I got to experience Huberds applied "the right way" hahahahaha
