Coming out
We did it! So while my family stunned me with immediate acceptance, hers was mixed. Her dad said “I don’t understand it, but that’s life,” and shook my hand. Her mom tried to guilt and undermine us both, which was … as expected 🤷♀️
But! That’s that — there’s no one left for whom I’m waiting to change my name and pronouns of FB. :D
