one of the more distressing things, for me, about the discussion about whether kink belongs at pride is that it continually reminds me that I currently have nobody to be dominated by :(

I don't see why it'd make you bad in any way. We all have things that bring out good or bad mental states and when something is important to you it's only natural that it'd affect you strongly.
