@Motodrachen @cinnamonvector@snouts.online it's also partly because it's kind of new... the ferengi used to be all bout gold, until starfleet popped by and did the "oops we can replicate gold, sorry about your economy lol" thing, so the ferengi had to find something that couldn't be replicated... fun bit of unintended worldbuilding they had to do :D
