you might have seen it by now, this instance we are on is shutting down. Our new home will be: @toomanyfoxes@icy.arcticfluff.eu
You can already follow that one and unfollow here, or have waytoomanyfoxes for a while.
Once I've initiated the account move on this side, only the new place will keep posting. Latest for that to happen will be Dec 15th, most likely earlier though. See pinned post on both accounts for more background.
@toomanyfoxes@botsin.space I poked the follow button a day or two ago for @toomanyfoxes@icy.arcticfluff.eu and looking at it now it shows as "follow requested", dunno what's happening there :)
@leinir That's odd, I assume you don't get the posts from the new account? Does it work if you cancel and refollow it? And if you do, can you give me the exact time you click that button so I can find something in the logs maybe?
Your instance seems to be a really old mastodon version, 3.4. Not sure yet if that's an issue. Can try to figure it out once I know the above information. :3
@toomanyfoxes just tried to refollow (utc 07:44), let's see what happens :) correct, I do not see posts from the new account!
@toomanyfoxes it *looks* like maybe it worked this time, it now says "unfollow" instead - I do not see the user icon, but that could be unrelated (the media in the posts does seem to load, at least in the account page)

Yeah, I guess I'll have to try and convince the instance admin to upgrade to something slightly less outdated at some point :)
@leinir I can see the account followed just now. \o/ Did you get my reply from there too? For small servers, which your instance never talked to before, it can take a while to backfill stuff.
Unfortunately your instance's software is really old but I hope it will still work now. :3
