some friends showed me how to actually play star citizen (instead of the gods-awful tutorial) and it was actually p. fun (though I think E:D controls way better)
@kauko hehe, yeah, the tutorial is very ehrm... proof of concepty ;)
@leinir I think I gave up when trying to land twice and I kept hitting the same building
and then had to start over from scratch including character creation
@kauko things the game doesn't tell you in the tutorial, part eleventy: putting down the landing gear makes the ship go way slower ;) (also scroll wheel adjusts max speed, like it does when on foot, which it also doesn't tell you)
Character creation should only come up again after new patches... to help with that, though, you can save your character, and load it again, in the character creator (the save icon brings up a dlg that does both). People even share them, there's a dedicated site :)
