random question: if someone wants to play gameboy *cartridges* in 2025, what's the cheapest way to get a device that does that? are there still bootlegs with cartridge slots?

@shoofle The GB Boy Colour used to be the go-to cheap clone but it doesn't seem to be available anymore, I think the cheapest option now is just a used original gameboy of some flavour

@lion apparently funnyplaying also has an fpga clone with a cartridge slot! it's not exactly cheap but it's not out of this world expensive. on par with what i've seen for used consoles

@shoofle oh interesting! it's still about twice as expensive as a used GBC here lol but at least it's not in Analogue territory
