Everyone's been relentlessly telling me to switch to Firefox because Chrome is going to seriously degrade the functionality of ad-blockers, but I remember how about 3 years back, Mozilla laid off a bunch of folks, including security, and it leaves me wondering if they have nearly as much effectiveness around browser security as Google does today. The web browser is *the* attack surface in my desktop computer use.
@recursive Dunno, first I've heard of it. But security is the primary reason I hear why people "should" use ad blockers - for most users the vast majority of attacks through the web (both malware and scams) will come in through ad networks.
