I love allistic folks but sometimes they make no sense at all.

“Oh I really love this song! (So I’ll listen to it for the same amount as any other song - at most a couple of minutes and never for 12 hours on a loop, several days in a row.)”

Sorry but, what? Are you lying about liking the thing?

I guess it makes sense if I swap music for how I am with people I love; great to be around but I’ll get exhausted if I have to be there for more than a short while.

Though, that is only really equivalent if allistic people have to apply effort to enjoy music and it’s never a passive thing. Hmmm maybe that *is* the case? It’d explain why they seem so much better at recognising lyrics?

@Sophie Apparently we do the allistic thing in this case. But I think for us it's just novelty-seeking? -iore
