@Anna I live as a queer white person in Hamburg. the cost of living is high but most jobs are better paid than in other areas of germany. it's a very diverse city and I feel safe here. Hamburg has a quite active left wing/radical left community. it's known for it's traditional tolerance (hence the harbour). to find a place to live can be a pain in the a** though. ah. and the weather is ... well.... it can be rough. if you have more specific questions let me know! all the best to you!
