today's recording is gonna take a while longer to go up on yt because my graphics crashed about half an hour in so i need to stitch two files together

extremely cursed file... three times now i've tried to render the spliced together video and three times it's completely shut down my PC, with AMD drivers indicating a power failure????
i can run furmark all day and not get a power failure

the encoder is using cpu not gpu and i forgot i had a slight overclock on
and i guess i x264 enconding was _just_ the thing that hit its stability threshold, not countless hours of gaming
it's funny bc i encoded other videos while having that OC on and none of them caused my system to crash
anyway now i'm at 3.425GHz @ 1.2V overclock/undervolt on my R5 1600 with stock cooler and the render is stable at 85c this time =w= so finally this can go up on yt today
funny.. dropped to 82c after a certain point past the render where i think it coincides where it goes from an mp4 remuxed source to a mkv one
all my previous renders used mkv sources, but this time i had to remux due to a crash corrupting the mkv

maybe... the cpu load of kdenlive rendering the mp4 source was higher than that of a mkv source (which, shouldn't make too much sense since both are x264), and that's why it never triggered the crash before?
who knows...
the original plan was to play something more fast-paced but i've been dealing with robot malware all day so we decided we'd just have a nice calm minecraft stream instead
