support your friends' work just like you support big celebrities who don't know you
imo, reply, retweet and like, in that order of priority. i couldn't care less if i never got another single like if it meant that people are actually engaging with my work rather than just pressing the algorithm button
yesterday i got two people personally crafting sentences in a chat program to tell me they liked my last blog post and that meant so much more than a number next to a heart icon
i'll be perfectly honest because i don't think being whisper-net about this benefits anybody: i've mutuals on here who boost others' work that is similar to mine, and never touch my work, and i would really like to know what i can do to reverse course on that
