might be far-fetched but i can sort of see parallels between bitcoin & the rise of far-right authoritarianism in world leaderships w/ how at the beginning we all dismissed as "a joke" or "incomprehensible" until it's too late & suddenly anti-lgbt laws are being passed everywhere
