LRT my advice for artists on a budget: tablet PCs from the early-to-mid 2000s are much cheaper than any cintiq-like screen tablet. pick up a thinkpad X220t and put krita in it, you can find them for about 300 US dollars

all my art since 2017 has been done on a 2007 thinkpad X61t. while the hardware is aging with a core 2 duo, it still runs modern linux and even web browsing without issues, and it cost me 50 USD, cheaper than any new tablet i've seen lately
