i don't think i ever made much in my creative endeavours for my own self. it's always because i wanted it to be part of something bigger, or because i wanted others to like it. even if i internalize that, i wouldn't know *what* i would want to make for myself, it's so hard.
@mavica_again It's a pretty complx issue and one that really isn't talked about enough, and it's how people are motivated in the creative field.
For some, self-fulfillment is a goal, for others, making things others enjoy is a fulfillment, and for others it's about making money and gaining popularity.
Usually problems start when motives and realities misalign.
