i beg young people to understand the meaning of "history" and how it
1) happened
2) is not the present
3) no amount of your complaints will change it
4) shitting on it is unbecoming
this applies to a huge breadth of issues on which people under 18 have violently weighed in in the past couple of years in my direct experience
