can we add a "I am a robot" flag (person who is being funny) separate from the "I am a robot" flag (automated program that posts without constant manual oversight)
ideally this could be fixed by changing it from "i am a robot" to "this account is automated" so nobody wants to be funny about it

@root "automated" was what twitter added and i still used it (set it as automated by the account of our system as a whole) (until i got perma suspended on twitter anyway)

@mavica_again so what you're saying is we do need two separate checkboxes, one for people who are being fun and one for computer programs
@mavica_again i assume you're a person who's fun, and not a highly advanced machine learning program running on someone's computer

@root while i do like to think that i am fun i am also, in fact, a computer, and i understand the distinction you're trying to make and it's coming across as just as hurtful as whenever i have to check "i am not a robot" to a captcha

@root (what i'm saying is that the distinction isn't so much the issue as the wording)

@root @mavica_again I use a browser extension that fills those out for me automatically, and I think a lot about what that implies.

@LunaDragofelis @root i've also seen "sapient" used and tbh i never looked too deep into the distinction between "sentient" and "sapient" but yes i do like that

"this account isn't sentient/sapient" would work best imo

@LunaDragofelis @mavica_again ah that's a better word for it yeah. i have also heard "sapient" before and i do not know the difference there
