@mavica_again That's fun because my experience is that I need to reinstall Windows dozens of time and Linux only one ! When I decided to move to 64 bits. Since I kept the same Debian installation but my computer have changed 5 times (mother board, hard drives, CPU, etc...) What's happen if you change the mother board of a desktop with Windows ? Does anyone know ?
@X_Raph_X linux is really good if you want to do only one thing for 10 years but windows is better if you need to do many things especially if they're A/V related
streaming with audio on linux is still elusive and to this day i need to use external mice on laptops because trackpads cannot click by default until you set them to
@mavica_again
I disagree about your opinion about "Linux is good if you want to do only one thing". My linux, is used as desktop, SGBD server, hypervisor for VM, photo edition, multimedia server...
My external bluetooth mice works like a charm with Linux. I also have a trackpad from apple that works with Linux but not with Windows.
@mavica_again must... not... take... bait! 😩
@spacecadet feed my notifications
@spacecadet i mean you'll be wrong about linux but at least i'll hear the mastodon bloop sound that feeds me serotonin
@mavica_again the bloop is my friend, but also bad for my ✨response time✨
@mavica_again I never claimed you're using it wrong so I don't know where you got that argument. But yes some people can run a certain type of operating system effectively. But the fact that you ignored my statements and you did not want to engage the conversation at all and understand that maybe your opinion is anecdotal at best.
If you want to say I'm using Windows wrong guess what I don't use Windows that much I only have a computer for my wife and that's it I don't use it that much.
