"mozilla bad because LLMs".... okay..... but what's the alternative that isn't built on top of chromium or firefox then

if mozilla goes in the google antitrust case do you think someone else who won't use LLMs will continue to develop firefox?

like i just want to understand what's the long term goal here because every time i tried to go back to windows 98 and not deal with modern software the same kids crying about this told me i shouldn't be putting it online because it's unsafe

@mavica_again I use this heavily modified FF fork thorium.rocks/mercury. And one day Ladybird will be ready :)

@mrfry you do realise that to fork firefox there needs to be a firefox, right?

how's that OS/browser from scratch project going anyway, is the lead still claiming to be "apolitical" while shaming minorities out of contributing and pointing out bad actors in it?

@mavica_again
I tried to find more info about the SerenityOS "apolitical" issue when you mentioned it, without success.
I randomly came across it today, putting a link here in case anyone reads this later...
