file-roller?? nautilus??? i just want one single damn font viewer why doesn't linux just have this built in why do i need to install a midi converter to view fonts what the fuck
@mavica_again I think it's trying to pull in suggested packages on top of the required ones if I'm guessing correctly
@eblu file-roller nautilus and gstreamer are still there after --no-install-recommends
@mavica_again ok so I have a feeling that the culprit is that it depends on libwebkit2-gtk for some reason. I found at least all the gstreamer stuff through that
@eblu unserious operating system lol
@mavica_again honestly I'd blame both upstream and debian packagers, the github repo says that it's a dependency for google fonts support (enabled by default)
@eblu the whole ecosystem is diseased, imo. i get where the "blame" lies
i just keep getting reminded of that every time i try to recreationally use linux on old computers and it does not convince me to ever drop windows as a daily driver
@eblu (i have used linux in some form or another for over a decade)
@mavica_again yeah. sucks :(
i should not need gstreamer1.0-alsa to look at fonts
