rockbox is infuriating not in a way that makes me want to fork it and fix it but rather in a way that makes me want to just use the stock ipod os instead
why can't we sort artists without articles? why can't the screen turn off and go into low power mode without a hard shut down of the system? why can't i make menu go up a level instead of previous track?
the answer to most of these is because someone in 2007 said so
@mavica_again i am probably going to be doing this soon, by which i mean “after i convert the flacs i want to mp3s or sth that an ipod’s stock firmware can play”
@selectric we use foo_dop and it converts it for us when we add them to the ipod

@selectric it's abandonware but honestly the best non-itunes experience we've had managing an ipod library
