I just realised that there's nothing stopping me from cosplaying as Tali, from Mass Effect, other than my brain being dumb. X)

Need to clean/reorganise the workshop (tonight/tomorrow's job) so I can start painting what I'm already working on, and with the workshop reorganised I can set up the 3D printer again and get to printing the Tali helmet while doing other projects!

The Tali helmet is gonna take around 135 hours (not in one sitting) to fully print. I could reduce the printing time by editing the buck for the visor and removing a lot of its internal shape, but that's something to think about later.

For a long time I've wanted to do a Tali cosplay but I never thought that I could with my body shape, but I've seen a Tali cosplayer recently who has a similar body shape to me and it opened my eyes that I could do this. I'm really excited to get started on it! ^^

Oh just realised I could save time the whole print job if I hollow out the buck and fill it with something like plaster? Would make it heavier but it would save on around 40 hours of the printing and around 1kg of filament!

I've found somewhere that prints fabrics and there's some Tali patterns but I just need to work out what type of fabric I want to use for a form fitting costume. Lycra/spandex is the obvious choice but there's some other fabric types that pique my interest! Will have to order some swatches. :3

I swear I'm so excited to do this Tali cosplay. It's really making me feel euphoric, gender and identity wise! <3

I've been feeling so happy for the past four days, haha. Silly little thing about being a Quarian girl all the time; they're some good happy feels! 💜💜💜
