Oof welp got my first ever speeding ticket
Was doing 40 in a 30 section of a varaible motorway (as was everyone else, which distracted me) but I got a letter in the post today about it. Minimum £100 fine and 3 points on my license. :|
Lesson learned I guess but I've gotta keep myself clean for at least another 12 months otherwise I'll lose my licence and will be back to square one.
Just to clarify, it's a notice of intent to prosecute and though the FAQ does say that they may offer me a speed awareness course instead it is entirely at their discression. I will take it if they do offer it.
@renbymon Sorry to hear, bud. Like Jencen said, it's easily done when the whole pack is speeding or the speed signs change suddenly. Hope you get the chance to do the course instead of the points.
@renbymon for a first offence you’re USUALLY offered a speed awareness course….so fingers crossed
