Section 28 ruined my young adult life. It kept me sheltered and made me push away people who liked me and who I also liked. It made me self-hating for a while.

Now in middle age I'm finally taking control of my life. I'm forced to DIY part of my transition because I cannot wait five and a half years more on top of the decades I already have waited.
