zhis is probably a pointless question as I know zhe ozher motivations for making live action versions of animated films, but let's say it's purely an artistic decision: what exactly is being added or achieved by doing it? Do I just love animation too much and fail to see zhe value of turning it into a live action film?
@trans_lykanthropie For me it's the thing of why does it need to be remade? What's wrong with the original which neccessitates a remake? Why not just rerelease the original?
It feels an awful lot like the "animation is for kids only" line of thinking, which I thought we'd gotten away from but I guess media execs haven't.
@trans_lykanthropie I suspect it is, which is a real shame but also pretty insulting to both people and animation in general.
