does anyone out here know runic alphabets? a friend of mine posted this in our voice text and i was trying to find the source and in doing so...
... okay so the company is called Raven Forge but i am. not coming up with a situation in which those runes translate to the phrase Raven Forge? as far as i can tell it says Rawen Porge, and combines several different alphabets.
I have definitely seen ᚠ to mean "F". My understanding is also that ᚹ is a "W", but in a lot of contexts, "W" and "V" are fungible. Maybe whatever version of the alphabet they're using doesn't have a V.
According to the Wikipedia page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runic_(Unicode_block), it looks like the only "V" is in medieval scripts???
My main source of knowing runic alphabets is that I played a lot of Ultima games. Maybe they're using the same version that Ultima did, because this all checks out to me.
@MegaMichelle @PsyChuan You think that if they're gonna write it in runic that they'd use the old Norse words.
